I am,
a lonely enduring, bleeding heart.
I am, even moreso,
a spirited poet and philosopher...
Beyond my being a professional
in my choice of trade, in my field...
I am a staunch believer in humanity...
In humanity's God given ability
to create a most wondrous world,
eventually free of pain and sufferings
and of inequities; of needless strife.
I am a staunch believer in humanity...
In humanity's innate nature,
to yearn to love, to be loved, to aspire,
to make the most of time afforded one,
that all might enjoy a loving, blessed life!
Oh!
I am a staunch believer in humanity...!
And so, while my heart may be bleeding,I am reminded each and every day,
of the efforts of so many, so many souls,
to rise above that which bleeds them...
Too.
Oh!
I am a staunch believer in humanity!
And however humanity may continue to mess things up,
that the best of itself will surely, always endure...
And too, surely improve if it really wants to.
Oh!
For I believe in humanity!
I am only,
an enduring, bleeding heart.
I am, even moreso,
a lonely, spirited poet and philosopher...
Trying to make sense of this crazy world of ours,
and make my own life, the best that it can be...
Hoping and praying
that you too, may seek as I seek,
and aspire as I aspire,
to create a blessed reality for all of humanity!
Oh!
For I believe in humanity,
and I hope and pray,
that you do too?
