A Poet.

I am a poet and thinker
I reflect upon the character of man,
his actions, his achievements
of what he cannot do, and what he can.

I am a critic of life
never really satisfied,
because many of mans' actions
seem far from justified.

I am a lover of peace
and a freedom seeker,
forever searching onwards
yet never growing weaker.

My pursuits are relentless
because my desires are hard to achieve,
it would all be so much easier
if we could but perceive.

I'm ever so cautious
as to not be disillusioned,
and I seek shelter
from the storms of confusion.

I travel through space and time
through the corridors of my mind,
discovering myself, knowing myself,
accepting what truths I may find.

I am an individual
removed from the norm,
for I am, and always will be
seeking shelter from the storm.
