Between a Breath and a Kiss...

Woman,
how can I possibly tell you,
without fear of you’re running away from me,
that I do love you so?

Woman,
how can I possibly tell you
that I feel that I cannot live without you,
not today, nor tomorrow?

I gaze out upon the moon, the stars
and the sun, and only think of you…,
hoping, dreaming, yearning that you
could bless my life so completely.

I write poetic lines that mean nothing
other than to myself - ever so fleeting,
like clouds of a storm that I have given birth to
in the depths of my soul - most painfully.

Sadly.

Woman,
between a breath and a kiss,
might you feel me, if only for an instance?

Woman,
between a breath and a kiss,
might you love me were my life to go amiss...
